Introduction

Welcome to The Columns Bed and Breakfast located in historic San Augustine, Texas.   This house, built in 1902 by J. Matthew Cartwright and wife, "Emmie" remained in the Cartwright family until 2001.This beautiful six bedroom home has central heat/air and is furnished with antiques, some of which were originally owned by the Cartwright family.  Each custom decorated room has a 3/4 bath (lavatory, shower, commode), cable TV with remote control, and a commercial "super comfortable" mattress.

A ramp provides handicapped access to the first floor.  The Doors are 35" wide allowing wheelchair access to the parlor, dining room, great hall, and the bedrooms. 

The Columns is also available for parties, weddings, reunions, etc.  Catering is available.  Tables and chairs are available for outside use.  Please call to discuss.
