Welcome to Beautiful East Texas, where we hope you will come and stay for a while.  East Texas is home to many Historical and Significant sites.  San Augustine has a VERY rich history which pre-dates The Republic of Texas.  Many people who live here are members of the Sons and Daughters of the Republic of Texas (SRT, DRT), as well as the Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution (DAR, SAR).
